We started Meet Move Eat because we wanted something different.
Less Lycra, more laughter. Movement that didn’t take itself too seriously, topped with a delicious slice of social.

A return to moving. Together.

Something shifts in your fifties. Not a breakdown — more like a conversation your body starts having with you, whether you invited it or not. A creak here. A click there. The occasional groan getting off the couch. Sometimes a noise you’d rather not claim in public 🙂

That’s not decline. That’s a body that’s been lived in. And it still wants to move.

At Meet Move Eat, the best sessions involve other people, a bit of wobble and enough laughter that you forget you were nervous about coming. Creaks, clicks and groans aren’t just acceptable here. They’re basically the soundtrack.

We’re not here to fix you. We’re here to get you moving – joyfully, socially, and at whatever pace your body says yes to today. Because when people move together, something loosens. And it’s not just the tight hips.

Movement is the excuse. Connection is the point. Really good food is non-negotiable.

No Lycra required. Smiles mandatory.

What we believe

Simple things, done with intention, change everything.
  • We believe your body wants to move – it just needs an invitation that’s fun and doesn’t feel like a test.
  • We believe you’re more likely to show up when someone’s expecting you; when there’s a warm room, good people, and something delicious waiting.
  • We believe movement in company is medicine. That sharing a meal slows time down. That laughter loosens things no stretch can reach.
  • We believe that a body that creaks, clicks and groans is not a broken body,  it’s a lived-in one. And it deserves to be celebrated. 
  • We believe 50+ is not a category. It’s a life stage full of potential, mischief, and a very healthy appetite for something fun & real.

No performance. No pretending. Just movement that your body will thank you for, food that genuinely nourishes, and the kind of company that makes you drive home with a cheek stretched smile, while you plan your next Meet Move Eat retreat.

Who is this for?

You might be exactly who we had in mind if:

  • The kids have flown and nobody’s borrowing your car, your cash, or your unsolicited advice anymore
  • You’ve retired and “what now?” is starting to feel like an adventure, not an anxiety
  • Your body makes sounds you didn’t authorise, and you’d rather laugh about it than ignore it
  • You’ve looked at yoga studios and thought “not a chance”
  • You want real friends, not followers. Actual humans. A table. A good meal.
  • You’re a man who’d never usually consider a retreat. (Come anyway!)

    All of the above is welcome here. Every creak, every question, every “I’m not sure but I’m showing up.”

WHAT WE OFFER

Movement that restores, not punishes

Our sessions draw from hatha and yin yoga, slow, accessible, and kind to bodies that have been around the block. Floor yoga, chair yoga, wobbly warrior pose. All of it counts, all of it works.

But we don’t stop there. Expect moments that make you forget you’re exercising – partner games, rhythm and movement, the kind of joyful silliness that brings out the five-year-old you’ve been sensibly suppressing.
The stuff that makes your face hurt from smiling.

Because the movement you remember is the movement you come back for.

No experience needed. No flexibility required. No judgement, full stop.

Every session is led by Bry & Lis, two qualified yoga teachers & facilitators who actually notice you wherever you are today…not where you think you should be.

Food that makes you close your eyes 
Your 2 course lunch and sneaky snacks are prepared by Bry, your personal Ayurvedic chef, using seasonal produce, home-grown herbs and Australian native ingredients. Scrumptious, wholefood, plant-based, made with love and served with a smile.

Eaten slowly, around a long table, with good people. The way food was always meant to be.

Connection that actually sticks
Every gathering is intentionally small. Because real connection needs space, not scale. No name tags, no icebreakers, no forced fun,  just the kind of ease that happens naturally when people move together, eat together, and laugh at the same wobbly tree pose.
