WILDLY ALIVE
Currumbin Eco Village · Gold Coast, QLD
Proudly supported by Kym Oconnell
Most retreats take you away from community. This one drops you into one.
Wildly Alive is a half day retreat held in the Old Dairy and the Bathhouse at Gound at Currumbin Eco Village – one of Australia’s most loved and established eco communities on the Gold Coast. A living, breathing village with gorgeous gardens, a stunning outdoor bathhouse and a pace of life that makes you exhale the moment you arrive.
This is the wilder, more active sibling of The Long Exhale. Less about the long table, more about the deep breath, deep movement, the bathhouse, a nourishing chef-prepared tea party and chai and the particular magic of spending a few hours somewhere built entirely around living well and living fully.
Come Wildly Alive at Currumbin. Your body remembers what this feels like. It’s been a while.
Wildly Alive is held in partnership with Currumbin Eco Village is open to village residents and a small number of outside guests. If you’ve ever been curious about what life inside an eco-community actually feels like, this is your invitation to find out.
- About bloody time you gave yourself a day like this.
Is this for you?
Wildly Alive is for women who are still active, still curious and ready to move in ways they might not have tried before.
Our movement session draws from mat yoga and pair yoga, so you’ll be on the floor, working with a partner, exploring what your body is capable of right now. It’s playful, it’s connected, and it might surprise you.
You don’t need to be super fit. You don’t need prior yoga experience. You just need to show up in an able body with an open mind and a willingness to try something new.
That said, if you’re carrying an injury that limits your movement on a mat or with a partner, this particular retreat may not be the right fit right now. We’d rather be honest about that than have you uncomfortable on the day.
Two qualified teachers guide the session throughout, there to support, adjust and encourage you to find your edge without pushing past it.
Come ready to move. Come ready to be surprised. Come Wildly Alive.
A chef-prepared tea party. Seriously.
After yoga you’ll be invited to a nourishing chef-prepared afternoon tea, made with care, served slowly, completely delicious.
Wildly Alive isn’t built around a long table lunch the way The Long Exhale is. The food here is quieter — an intentional welcome, a warm pause, a gentle signal to your body that this is a different kind of afternoon.
Come hungry for something. Leave full of it.

Currumbin Eco Village is one of Australia’s most established and celebrated intentional communities, a working, living village where people
have chosen to build their lives around sustainability, connection and the natural world.
Walking through it feels different to anywhere else. The gardens are extraordinary. The pace is unhurried. The sense of intention is palpable.
You feel it the moment you arrive.
Wildly Alive is proudly supported by Kym Oconnell from the village community. At least half of each retreat group are Eco Village residents – which means you’re not just visiting a venue. You’re spending the afternoon with the people who actually live there. That changes everything.

Building a Community
We’re building something here. Not a membership program, not a wellness platform, not another thing to sign up for and forget. Just a genuine community of women 50+ who’ve decided that this chapter of life is worth showing up for – with a moving body, good food and actual humans to share it with. People who take their health seriously but themselves a little less so. People who know that the best thing that happened at the last retreat wasn’t the yoga – it was the conversation at the long table that went on longer than it should have. If that sounds like your kind of people, you’re already one of them.
